The tape is
recorded by Ad Delleman. It is in a red BASF Typ LGS 26 box and on a BASF
spool. The tape speed is too fast and irregular. It is a recording of Christmas
1961 in Bano. Side A starts comments of Ad Delleman on the situation and what
is happening with short interviews with the bystanders. He mentions also the speakers
in the church. In the background a flute and drum orchestra plays. The bell
plays to warn people to get dressed and later to go to the church. 6’23 Church service starts Ad Delleman announces,
6’51 First prayer followed by songs, preaches and so on till the end of side A.
Side B continues with the church service and speeches, after 4’31 flute a drum
orchestra, comments, nature sounds near the river Nimbu, 6’35 choir song,
continuation of the church service with more speeches, 25’48 sounds of singing
recorded from a distance with nature sounds recorded from the house where he
lived. People go dancing to the flute and drum orchestra from time-to-time comments
till the end of Side B. Dutch and Bahasa.
